Meet the Blogger
First generation American Ecuadorean born and raised in New York. I come from a family of engineers, so, naturally, I became an engineer.
The purpose of this blog is to share the knowledge I have learned over the years so that current and future generations of Hispanic students become aware of the benefits and opportunities that exist in STEM fields.
Graduated with a Bachelor of Engineering and Master of Science degrees in Chemical Engineering as well.
My research focuses on developing and optimizing catalysts for producing renewable natural gas (RNG). RNG can substitute fossil natural gas. The benefit of RNG is that it reduces the release of carbon into the atmosphere.
My career goal is to become a professor while carrying out research in the clean energy field and providing technical consulting to industry. I plan to advocate for increased representation of the Hispanic community within STEM by publishing evidence-based science policy manuscripts.
